OMFG Edward.
He's been crummily modified and slapped onto a similarly crummily modified Norshkips character sheet. 8)

Full Name: Edward Mercier
Given Name(s): Most commonly introduces himself as simply 'Edward'. Nicknames are Ed, Eddy, Edkins and Eddard. He disapproves of all but the last.
Gender: Male
Age: 36
Birthday: September 19th, yeargoeshere
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Wand: Ash, 10 ½ inches, unicorn tail hair
Previous House: Attended Hogwarts in his younger years; Edward was a Ravenclaw
Familiar/Pet: A magpie named Magpie. Can deliver letters like an owl can, but highly prefers staying around his wizard and being an arse.
Languages: Edward speaks a damn lot of them, including a good number of very old ones. He's fluent in Latin, which is useful for fabricating some of his own spells, which he often does... usually to disastrous results.
Job: Professor of Ancient Runes. He's still reeling over the fact that he made the position. He's also a clockmaker and fixer on his own time.
Previous Jobs: None.
Relationships: None, yet... not at Hogwarts, anyway.
Height: 6'0 or so.
Weight: 130 lbs, I guess?
Build: Edward's tall, scrawny, bony and lanky. It'd probably be easy to snap him in two. He doesn't seem to have much muscle, but he isn't emaciated--just very willowy.
Physical Description: Edward surely looks the part of a classical wizard; his robes are purple and gold, with runes of the latter color sewn, scattered, all over it. He's even got a pointy hat to match. He is a spindly, tall and twitchy man, and his entire disposition is very nervous and jittery, most commonly in the presence of people he doesn't know or is only barely acquainted with. By himself, though, or with companions he trusts, he is not as anxious and even possesses a bit of grace. His hair is short, curly and very red, adding to the general vividness of his appearance; generally sitting on the very end of his long, pointy nose are a pair of oversized, gold spectacles. His hands and fingers are long, thin and dexterous, often busy fiddling with this or that. There is a sprinkle of freckles over his cheeks, and there is innocence and childishness in his wide, gray eyes--he wasn't a man who had never grown up; he was simply a man who had not been touched by Time and its weathering agents, grief and sorrow and despair, quite as profoundly as most others were.
Visible Possessions:
-Key: A little brass key that's generally in the band of Edward's hat, with a light, silver chain connecting it to the buckle so that it doesn't fall out of his possession. It is engraved with a brief little poem, is capable of winding several types of clocks, and has the peculiar property of being able to open most very old locks.
-Pocket watch: Although better adept with the larger gears and springs of clocks than their much smaller counterparts, used in watches, Edward has nonetheless got one that he carries around for reasons unknown, given the fact that he has no need for timekeeping devices to know of the hour; perhaps he's proud of his experiment, or perhaps it is simply another form of a reminder. It's a neat little thing, coloured gold and not explicitly ornate, although there are a few, tasteful, curly designs etched into its cover. It's usually stored out of sight in one of the pockets in his robe, but the chain connects to one of his beltloops and betrays its presence.
Hidden Possessions:
-Odds and Ends: Generally old gears and springs that have been replaced in the clocks they once belonged to. Edward doesn't seem to like throwing these away, and as such they litter his room, and, yes, person. Often corroded, bent or sometimes broken. Also falling into this category are the scraps of parchment he often seems to have with him, sometimes written on and sometimes not, and the bits of sand his pockets seem to accumulate.
-Quill: Edward usually has at least one of his quills with him, either a raven-feather quill or an owl-feather quill.
-Hourglass: Tiny and generally stuffed away in a pocket is a little hourglass. There doesn't seem to be an evident reason for it--luck, maybe, or memory.
Personality: Edward's timid, shy, and every other synonym that's a nice word for 'coward' or 'socially inept'. He's quite intelligent, too, and usually a quick thinker--that is, when he isn't distracted by his fear. Besides these, he's also got a heavy inferiority-complex, an obsession with clockwork, books and magic, and several phobias. He doesn't do very well in crowded places, especially ones that are full of people he doesn't know, but once one gets to know him--as much of a chore as this might be--he can be quite pleasant to have around. He often tends to appear as a pessimist when it comes to current or immediate happenings, especially when he's in a bad mood or while things look grim, but is amazingly full of hope concerning the distant future.
Fears: Everything. No. Really. Everything. His biggest ones, though, are excessive amounts of cold water, broken glass, big, mean and/or scary people/animals/things/anything, personal insults and losing the few people he's managed to grow close to. ...And cats. Edward doesn't really like cats.
Strengths: All the languages Edward can speak and read and write are certainly a strength; he's also very adept with mechanics and sometimes incorporates them into magic in new and unfamiliar ways. He's also quick and has a set of very clever fingers, not to mention the fact that he's intelligent.
Weaknesses: Edward is easily frightened. He's also, strangely, quite naive, provided you evade his suspicion and don't terrify him outright. He's very weak, physically, and has got a number of irrational fears (mentioned above) that could be easily used against him. His vision is terrible, too--he can't do very much without his glasses. His biggest weaknesses, though, are probably these: his incredibly low self-esteem, and his ineptness with magic, especially that of the more powerful sorts.
Skills: Clockmaking. And he also writes poetry when he thinks nobody's looking.
Abilities: MAGICLOL. It might be noted, though, that Edward prefers a specific type of magic--that which bends Time. He is a chronomancer, and although he can cast plenty of other spells, the only ones he doesn't seem to regularly screw up are... well, chronomancy.
